From The Nightclubs Of Fohannesburg

Our story didn’t start in a quiet sanctuary. It began in the neon glare of Hillbrow’s roughest nightclub in Johannesburg during the late 1970s, where grace seemed entirely impossible.

The Wreckage and the Rescue

In 1980, we were two broken young people running from our own shadows. I worked part-time as a nightclub bouncer immersed in street violence; Gaynor was searching for a way out of the chaos.

God met us in those ruins. Over forty-six years of marriage, we have learned that redemption is not about pastoral perfection, but about a hope that survives the deepest scar tissue.
